Government of Punjab established PEECA in order to bridge the demand and supply gap through a two pronged approach of Demand and Supply Management using the concept of efficiency and conservation. Some of the key responsibilities of this program includes policy and regulation formulation, categorization of consumers, running awareness campaigns, introducing and developing energy performance ratings for appliances.
